Laura began making her body/mind connection as a young child studying dance and theatre. Her continued love of dance and her deep sense of body awareness led her to study massage, enrolling at the Shiatsu Institute and Therapy Center in San Francisco. She received her Shiatsu Practitioner Certificate in June, 1998 and has been practicing massage privately as well as in a number of professional settings for the last 14 years. She recently completed another 100-hour massage intensive at the Bodywork Career Institute in Middletown. She incorporates shiatsu, Swedish and deep tissue into her massage practice. Since completing her 200-hour yoga teacher training in May, 2012, Laura has been teaching Multi-level Vinyasa Flow yoga at Oshun in Trinidad. Her classes focus on alignment and a conscious connection between the breath, the heart, and the collective universe. The greatest gift yoga has given Laura is her deepened sense of gratitude. She enjoys the beauty of the North Coast with her family and friends, as well as her dogs and cats.
